Diggin Dirt- From behind the redwood curtain of Humboldt County, California, the seven piece funk-soul band Diggin Dirt is a live party not to be missed. Their infectious sound is fueled by blazing horns, searing guitars and a relentlessly driving rhythm section, all tied together by the band’s frontman who launches the ensemble into rarefied air with his pipes, charisma and natural-born soul. With flashes of James Brown or Sly and the Family Stone, Otis Redding or Tower of Power, the band’s sound is both familiar and yet refreshingly original, layering psychedelic rock, Motown soul, and afrobeat atop a thick foundation of late-60s inspired funk. They lit up CDE in 2021 and we have no doubt a party of epic proportions will unfold this time around…

Jimi’s Dead- Jimi’s Dead is the new brainchild of 3 time Grammy winning artist Eric Krasno and renowned bassist Ross James. Conceived as the ultimate tribute to the music of icons Jimi Hendrix and the Grateful Dead the band performs electrifying sets weaving the music of both acts into a live audio experience like no other. As many of you know, Kras has taken a liking to CDE and vice versa so exploring his various projects is a ‘job’ we gladly accept. Hyperbole aside, be prepared for a musical rocket ship that will leave you speechless and wanting more Krasno & crew….

Coyote Island- Maine-based singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Coyote Island—a.k.a. Mike O’Hehir—recognizes and reveres the restorative potential of songcraft. Mixing folk, reggae, pop, world, cumbia, and psychedelia, he stirs up a sonic elixir meant to invigorate and inspire. “There’s a deeper purpose to my music,” affirms Mike. “It’s pure healing energy has become apparent to me. We want to travel the world and hopefully be able to reach and, possibly, heal anyone in need..” Few bands have captured our fancy like Coyote Island and we cannot wait for the Coyote to roam the redwoods and to see you howl in delight....

Vana Liya- Nirvana Goberdhan a.k.a Vana Liya, grew up east of New York City and her Guyanese heritage surrounded her with soca, calypso, dancehall and reggae music. Her mom gave her a ukulele for Christmas and a few years later she began covering songs by some of her favorite artists. Today, Vana is a fast rising artist bringing an infectious sound and catchy rhythms wherever she plays. We are honored to have her grace us at Camp Deep End after becoming a favorite at Camp Redwoods. Smiles will abound and hips will be swaying as she takes the stage and the music flows.
